«Wide Open Trigger» (WOT), sometimes referred to as a «hard reset trigger,» is a device designed to allow faster firing rates in semi-automatic firearms, particularly AR-15 platforms. It functions by mechanically resetting the trigger after each shot, eliminating the need for the shooter to manually release and reset the trigger between shots. This results in a faster cycle of fire, as only a single trigger pull is required per shot.
